Eight & Bob began when American student John F. Kennedy met Parisian aristocrat Albert Fouquet on the Cotes d’Azur in the 1930’s, not only was he charmed by the man, he was also intrigued by his hand-crafted scent. Fouquet left a fragrance sample at JFK’s hotel with a note that said, “In this jar, you will find the dash of French glamour that your American personality lacks.” Upon his return to the US, JFK made a request for eight bottles of scent – ‘and if your production allows, one for Bob’.
